
U-go is durable and high quality electric scooter from the famous Japanese brand Honda. Honda has officially patented the U-Go electric scooter in India and is confirmed to reach production levels.
Honda U-Go electric scooter was launched in China last year in two variants: Wuyang-Honda Motors (Guangzhou) Co and Japan Honda Motor introduced the U-Go electric scooter.
The electric scooter Honda U-Go in Nepal will make its debut in the coming months according to the company. The scooter is powered by a 48V 30Ah Lithium-ion removable battery pack that has a rated power of 1.2 kW and peak power of 1.8 kW. It has the motor delivering a maximum efficiency of 88 percent.
Estimated riding range on a single charge is above 65 km which can be doubled to 130km by the addition of a second battery. There is a disc brake in front wheel and a drum brake at the rear. Suspension duties are done by telescopic forks in front and dual shock absorbers at rear.
Honda U-Go electric scooter has simple, salient and sleek features. Some of its key feature include LCD instrument console with basic info like battery status, large footboard, range, mode and speed, USB charging port, anti-theft alarm, 26-liter overall under storage space, a boxy LED headlamp, LED Daytime Running Light, sharp LED tail lamp, integrated LED turn indicators and single-piece black seat. It is also compacted with comfortable ergonomics including tall handlebar, black alloy wheels, anti-theft alarm system and U-Go wording on the sides.
Its Availability and Price
This variant of scooter is now available in the Chinese market and is priced at CNY 7,999 which is around NRs 1.46 lakhs. There’s also a low-speed variant (with its top speed restricted to 43kmph) available at CNY 7,499 (about NRs 1.37 lakhs).
Its price in Nepal is expected to be around NRs. 2.50 lakhs to NRs. 3.00 lakhs. The scooter looks very decent and urban despite the low price.
