2022 Hero Xtreme 160R Officially Launched

Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the new 2022 Xtreme 160R. It is said to make its debut in the Nepalese market too very soon.

The upgraded version, 2022 Hero Xtreme 160R has minor updates with no mechanical changes. It features hazard lights, auto sail technology, USB charger, side stand engine cut-off, an LED headlamp, LED DRLs, LED turn indicators, a sculpted fuel tank, a stubby tail section and a unique LED tail lamp that gets a blacked-out finish. It has a gear position indicator on the LCD instrument cluster.

Furthermore, it comes with negative LCD panel displaying information like speedometer, tachometer, dual trip meter, clock, and some more features. Hero offers the Xtreme 160R in three variants namely single disc, double disc, and Stealth Edition. The engine has new frame, exhaust pipe, and blacked-out look alloy wheels for bold sportiness. Its full-digital instrument console consists of a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, gear position indicator and clock.

It is powered by same 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 15bhp of power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,500rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The base single disc variant is equipped with a rear drum brake while the dual disc and the Stealth edition are available with disc brakes on both wheels with single-channel ABS as standard. In addition, the 2022 Xtreme 160R has a diamond-type frame with telescopic forks and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock.

The bike showcased in two-tone: white and grey paint. It is expected to be available in more colors later.

Price and Availability

The pricetag for Hero Xtreme 160R in Nepal is expected to be NRs. 3.43 Lakhs. The Hero Xtreme 160R will be on rivalry against TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, Honda X-Blade and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160.
