The authorized distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, MAW Enterprises, is preparing to introduce the highly-popular Yamaha Aerox 155 which is the latest Yamaha maxi-scooter.
Yamaha Aerox 155 is very similar to Yamaha NMax. They both share the underpinning engine with iconic Yamaha R15. Aerox sports a more aggressive and muscular styling though. Aerox 155 price in India starts from INRs. 1.29 Lakhs.
Furthermore, Yamaha Nepal is planning to introduce the new Aerox at the NADA Auto Show 2022 though the details aren’t confirmed.

Yamaha Aerox 155 Overview
Design
Yamaha Aerox 155 is a maxi-scooter that sports a large body size with athletic proportions and an X center motif. It is built on a ‘Heart-Shaking Speedster’ design.
The front section has LED Headlight and LED DRLs. Also, the side indicator has been integrated into the body. The rear section gets a compact LED tail lamp with protruded rear side indicators. In addition, there is a two-level seat, a front pocket with a power socket, and a multi-function key switch.
Aerox 155 has an external fuel lid at the front and an integrated grab rail at the rear. And, it is available in three colors: Blue, Grey Vermillion and MotoGP Edition.
Performance
Yamaha Aerox is mated to a V-belt automatic transmission with a 5.5-liter fuel tank capacity. Engine of Yamaha R15 is there which makes it most powerful scooter in its segment.
It is powered by a 155cc, Single-Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-Cooled, SOHC engine. It can generate max power of 15PS at 8000rpm and max torque of 13.9Nm at 6500rpm. Likewise, it has Variable Valve Actuation technology (VVA) and a Single-Channel ABS.
Extra Details
The dimensions are 1980mm in length, 700mm in width, and 1150mm in height. Also, the wheelbase sits at 1350mm. It has 145mm ground clearance and the kerb weight is 126kg. It also sports a massive 24.5-liter under-seat storage.

Availability and Price in Nepal
Yamaha Aerox 155 is an improvement in all aspects in comparison to the previously launched NMAX 155 (priced at Rs. 4.69 Lakhs). However, Aerox does miss out on a Dual-Disc option and Dual-Channel ABS. price in India starts at INRs. 1.29 Lakhs. Well, it is still too early to predict its price in Nepal.
Aerox 155 will be the premium offering. So, it will likely feature a price tag of around Rs. 4.50 Lakhs – Rs. 5 Lakhs. Yamaha Nepal has confirmed its intention to bring Aerox and planning to introduce it at the NADA Auto Show 2022.
