Honda Motorcycle and Scooter has launched a new limited edition version of 110cc Dio scooter in India. The new Dio design is uniquely sporty and elegant. It has edgy and powerful outlook.
The authorized distributor of Honda scooters in Nepal, Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., is also set to launch the Dio Sports edition in Nepal very soon. The new Honda Dio Sports Edition has two variants: Standard and Deluxe trims both having two new color options of Sports Red with Black and Strontium Silver Metallic paint shades with Black. It is also offered with a red-dipped rear cushion spring which can be available in both variants. It also comes with a wide single comfortable seat and larger under-seat luggage capacity than before.
Dio Sports comes with sporty design as before. It’s equipped with LCD instrument console, LED headlight, integrated dual function switch, external fuel lid, passing switch and a side stand indicator. There is a 130mm drum brake at both ends including a combi-brake system. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a 3-step adjustable rear shock. It features sporty alloys as well.
Furthermore, the scooter is powered by 109.51cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, PGM fuel-injected engine that generates maximum power of 7.65 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 9 Nm of peak torque at 4,750 RPM. The engine too has Honda’s proprietary eSP (Enhanced Smart Power & not Electronic Stability Program) technology. Also, it comes mated to a CVT. It also has a 3-step eco indicator for better fuel efficiency.
Price and Rivalry
Honda Dio Sports Edition is priced NRs. 2,19,900 for the DLX variant and NRs. 209,900 for the STD variant. It will rival against TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro Edge and Suzuki Access in the market.
