Realme GT 2 Pro Full Review:

Design & Build

It is 74.7 x 163.2 x 8.18mm in overall weighing 189/199 grams. It is build by the components like biopolymer in glass back and aluminum frames in glass front. Meanwhile, there is no IP certification against dust and water damage in the smartphone.

The company claims that GT 2 Pro is composed of bio-based polymer which leaves around 35% less carbon footprint. It has a smooth back like paper where we can write as well, if in need.

Classy changes on Design

It is comfortable to carry and use due to its light weight and flat frames. It has super smooth back with very rare chances of getting dirty.

Display

It has 6.7-inches QHD+ LTPO 2.0 AMOLED and 120Hz refresh rate with 1000Hz instant touch. In addition, it has corning gorilla Glass victus protection. It has quality screen that is bright and vibrant.

However, it something doesn’t support HDR video playback on OTT platforms, although the display itself is HDR10+ certified.

Battery

There is 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. The battery too lasts long with apps running behind such as camera, whatsapp, etc. Yet, we do not have wireless charging support. The charger fills up the GT 2 Pro in about 35 minutes.

Software

The smartphone runs on Android 12 with cleanly optimised Realme UI 3.0 on top. But at the same time, the bloatware situation gets somewhere unsatisfactory.

It comes with more than 15 bloatware apps which annoys too often as it reappears after each uninstallation. Also, there are random ads here and there that is likely to irritate any users.

Audio & Haptics

It has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. But, there is  no 3.5mm headphone jack. Nevertheless, it’s vibration motor is top notch. Its audio quality is pretty good but there is some noticeable distortion in the fullest volume.

Performance

GT 2 Pro is fueled by Qualcomm’s second most powerful chipset of 2022, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Though this pro processor can handle almost everything, I hope we are aware of its heating issues.

Gaming experience

The smartphone hits 25- 30 minutes in maximum as it reachs reaches 45°C while playing graphics-intensive games. Realme is throttles that way for performance for stability and less heat dissipation. While recording 4K videos too, the temperatures is seen to rise.

But PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile runs very smooth in their respective highest settings, achieving 40 and 60 fps throughout the gameplay with maintained temperature below 42°C. The smartphone has utilized the largest vapor chamber cooling in the industry that has impacted for such favorable results.

Cameras

  1. Triple camera setup at the back
  2. (50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 3MP micro)
  3. 32MP selfie camera (hole-punch cutout)

The camera could have done a little better. Following that, the portrait camera has extra vibrancy that leaves the subject with an unnaturally rich color tone. Realme have a good dynamic range and details but they retain extra lively colors which look bit overboard sometimes.
