Vivo is a Chinese smartphone brand widely famous for their camera. It arrived in Nepal in 2018. It is the most popular mobile brand in Nepal.

Vivo sells three series in Nepal i.e. Y, S, and V-series. Its online Z-series and U-series phones are not launched in Nepal yet.

Cellucity and Apex Manakamana are the official distributors of vivo. Furthermore, Vivo offers 0% EMI on smartphones above Rs. 15,000. Also, the company organizes Sales Carnival every year where they offer huge discounts and freebies on every smartphone purchase.

It features a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS panel. The screen has a waterdrop notch that houses the 8MP selfie camera. There’s a 13MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor housed inside a rectangular camera bump. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset.

Nowadays, only the 3+32GB variant is available in Nepal. The phone ships with FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 10. The 5,000mAh battery support 10W fast charging. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

It has two changes where the first is internal storage which is now bumped to 128GB. The other is inclusion of a new color option – Purist Blue. It replaces the Dawn White on the Y20. In addition, the Y20 has a 6.21-inch IPS panel with an HD+ resolution.

Vivo Y53s

Vivo Y53s is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset which can be found in phones half its price like the POCO M2 Reloaded. Similarly, Y53s doesn’t bring an AMOLED screen or a higher refresh rate either. Vivo has settled for a 6.58″ Full HD LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate.

V23 5G is Vivo’s most premium offering for 2022 in Nepal. The Sunshine Gold variant of the phone can switch color when exposed to sunlight and other UV rays. It has a 4,200mAh battery and there is support for 44W fast charging.
