Design and Display

This year’s Modern laptops come in two sizes: 14-inch and 15.6-inch. There is the Modern 14 C13M for people that prioritize portability. However, only the Modern 15 B13M is available in Nepal for now. Outside of the obvious difference in screen sizes, the two laptops are identical in other aspects.

The 2023 Modern series comes with FHD IPS screens held by a 180° hinge. Thus, you can lay the screen flat and use the Flip-n-Share function to share the screen with your colleague across the other end.

The new Modern series sports a metallic chassis tested against MIL-STD-810 military tests for robustness and durability. The Modern 14 C13M is available in Urban Silver, Beige Rose, and Classic Black finishes, whereas you can only choose between Star Blue and Classic Black on the Modern 15 B13M.

Performance and Memory

The new Modern series features the latest 13th Intel U-series mobile processors. Both the Modern 15 and Modern 14 can be configured with up to 10-core Core i7-1355U. They are also available with Core i5-1255U and Core i3-1315U CPUs. Neither comes with discrete graphics, so you will have to rely on Intel’s integrated solution (Iris Xe).

You can configure the laptops with up to 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM. Likewise, they feature an M.2 slot for NVMe PCIe Gen 3 for SSD storage.

Modern 14 and Modern 15 pack a 3-cell 39 Whr Li-Polymer battery and ship with a 65W barrel-shaped adapter. The Modern series also supports Power Delivery charging via the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.
