Rs. 10,000 Price Cut in Apple iPhone 11 in Nepal

The authorised distributor of Apple in Nepal, Generation Next or Genxt, has released a new, reduced price for the iPhone 11.

The iPhone 11 debuted in Nepal along with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max in 2019.

Apple iPhone 11 Overview

Design

The iPhone 11 looks like any other recent iPhone with a big notch for the Face ID from the front. The bezels are the same as on its predecessor iPhone XR. Likewise, the glass back has a square-shaped island for the dual-camera setup (the Pro models have a triple-camera setup).

The recent iPhone 12 and 13, the iPhone 11 has a curvy design. The aluminium frame does not have any sharp edges. Also, it is rated IP68 for water resistance up to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the left of the iPhone has a mute switch and volume buttons whereas the power button and a SIM slot are on the right. A mic, lightning port and the second speaker are on the bottom side.

Display

iPhone 11 has same screen as in iPhone XR which is a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with round corners. Apple calls it Liquid Retina HD display. The display features Apple’s True Tone which automatically adjusts the white balance of the display depending on the environment. It has a resolution of 828 x 1792 pixels (326 ppi). There is a huge notch on the top of the display.

In addition, Apple mentions that the display has a 1400:1 contrast ratio and 625 nits of typical max brightness. The screen is coated with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic film. It is supported by DCI-P3 and Haptic Touch.

Hardware

The iPhone 11 is powered by Apple A13 Bionic chip. Apple claims that the chipset features up to 20 percent faster CPU and GPU than A12.

Performance

A13 is built on a 7nm+ process and features over 8.5 billion transistors. The Apple A13 Bionic chip has a hexa-core processor with two 2.65 GHz Lightning high-performance cores and four 1.8 GHz Thunder efficient CPU cores. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of NVMe storage.

Camera

It comes with an extra camera than the iPhone XR. In addition to a 12MP primary camera (with OIS), it now has a 12MP ultrawide camera as well. However, it lacks a telephoto camera which is available on the iPhone 11 Pro models. The front has a 12MP selfie camera, up from 7MP. It now has a wider field of view with a 23 mm lens. Both the front and back cameras can shoot up to 4K video at 60fps.

This is the first iPhone to let users take video without switching out of Photo mode by simply holding the shutter button to start recording.

Battery and OS

It has is a 3110 mAh battery. It supports up to 20W fast charging. But the charger is not provided in the box. The device also supports Qi wireless charging.

IPhone 11 used to come with iOS 13 out-of-the-box at the time of launch. Now, it comes with the latest iOS 15.

Availability and Price in Nepal

IPhone 11 is available at Apple authorised stores.

It started at Rs. 1,50,000 in 2019 but after the launch of iPhone 12 series and 13 series and, there has been multiple price drops. The Apple iPhone 11 price in Nepal is Rs. 76,990 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 84,990 for the 128GB variant. This price is after a recent drop of Rs. 10,000, from Rs. 86,990 and Rs. 94,990, respectively.
