Vivo Y55 Overview

Design

Vivo Y55 has a rectangular camera bump on the back  and has plastic body. The camera island has two huge camera circles and a flash. Also, the back resists fingerprint smudges.

The bottom consists a 3.5mm headphone jack, a mic, a USB-C port, and a speaker. The SIM card tray is on the top that also has a dedicated microSD card slot. In addition, the power and volume buttons are on the right side of the device.

Display

Vivo Y55 has a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. As the brand has not officially disclosed the refresh rate of the display, it is believed to be 60Hz.

The display has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The top and side bezels are minimal with a slightly larger bottom. The phone also features an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.

Camera

There is 50MP main camera available accompanied by a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Likewise, the front has a 16MP selfie camera.

Battery and OS

A 5000mAh battery fuels the device. It supports 44W fast charging. Real me claims that it can charge to 50% in just 28 minutes. Also, the device runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.

Hardware

The Vivo Y55 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G processor. It’s built on a 6nm process node and has an Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) CPU and Adreno 610 GPU.

The Snapdragon 680 is a decent processor that powers multiple devices in 2022 including Redmi Note 11, Realme 9i, and Samsung Galaxy A23, among others. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Extra Features and Specs

Vivo Y55 has AMOLED display and is powered by a popular but mediocre processor. Vivo is known to have a especially good camera in the front. Moreover, it comes with a large battery capacity and 44W fast charging support.

Availability and Price in Nepal

After the launch, it will be available at Vivo authorised stores across Nepal.
