Yamaha FZ25 Overview

Design

Yamaha FZ25 carries a strong street fighter stance. The overall design is based on a forward mass layout. Due to this, it evokes a muscular silhouette while maintaining sharper undertones. The front section comes with an aggressive LED housing.

It allocates separate lights for the low-beam and high-beam.There is a subtle small Visor along with the Halogen indicators. It is the same setup that inspired the front section in the Yamaha FZS v3.  It comes with a Split-Seat setup, further complimented by the Split Grab Rail. Again, the overall profile is enhanced by faux air vents. Similarly, the rear gets a sleek LED tail light with a slightly extended tail section. Additionally, the Yamaha FZ25 comes in three colors: Cyan, Matte Blue, and Matte Black.

Performance

Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249cc, Single-Cylinder, 2-valve, Air-cooled, SOHC FI engine. It can generate a max power of 20.9PS at 8000 rpm and a max torque of 20.1 Nm at 6000 rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and a 14-liter fuel tank. You should note one thing about the FZ25 engine.

Other than that, there is no mechanical difference between the FZ25 BS6 and FZ25 BS4.That being said, it is still an Air-Cooled Engine restricted to a normal 5-Speed. While it does deliver on perky performance, it misses a mark on its features expected in the 250cc segment.

Additional Details

The Telescopic fork and 7-Step Adjustable Monocross handle the suspension duties. It gets Dual Disc Braking with a Dual-Channel ABS as standard. Interestingly enough, the Disc sizes and the suspension setup are the same as in the FZS v3. The dimensions are 2015mm in length, 775mm in width, and 1075mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1360mm.Yamaha FZ25 ground clearance is 160mm. And, the kerb weight sits at 148 kg.
