Samsung had launched Samsung Galaxy A33 5G in April 2022 in Nepal. It has currently dropped the price by Rs. 5,000 in Nepal. Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is priced Rs. 41,999 (8/128GB) in Nepal.
It is a mid-range device that sits between the Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A53. It is powered by the same brand-new Exynos 1280 processor as the Galaxy A53.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Overview
Design and Display
It features a plastic frame. Like the rest of the Galaxy A series devices, the rear camera island seamlessly blends with the body of the phone. Samsung calls this camera design the “Ambient Edge design.”
It comes in four different colours: Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Blue and Awesome Peach. It is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. For the buttons, both the power and volume buttons are located on the left side of the device.
The phone’s display is 0.1-inch smaller than the A53’s at 6.4 inches. It’s a Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There is an Infinity-U display and a thick chin, which makes the device look cheap and outdated compared to other phones in this price range.
Camera
The A33 has a 13MP selfie camera on the front. The rear camera island houses a quad-camera setup comprising a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera features an OIS. The phone can shoot 4K video at 30fps.
Battery and OS
It comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It is not provided in the box though. Galaxy A33 runs on Android 12 topped with One UI 4.1. Samsung promises to give four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates.
Hardware
It is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 chipset. It’s a new chipset with a 5G modem built on a 5nm process node that also powers the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. The SoC has an octa-core CPU consisting of two 2.4GHz ARM Cortex-A78 cores and six 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, and a 4-core ARM Mali-G68 GPU ticked at 1000MHz.
Furthermore, these are the same combination of CPU and GPU found on the MediaTek Dimensity 900, which powers the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G. But the Exynos’s GPU clock speed is higher than the Dimensity 900 by 100MHz.
The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Moreover, it features a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.
