Nokia has finally launched its budget phone Nokia G21 in Nepal on June 13, 2022. It is already available for purchase at Nokia authorised stores and Sastodeal online.

The Nokia G21 price in Nepal is Rs. 22,999 (6/128GB). It comes with a 3-day battery claim and a 90Hz refresh rate display.

Nokia G21 Overview

Design

The Nokia G21 has a polycarbonate body with a textured back. The back has transparent vertical rectangular rear camera island and a Nokia branding. The power and volume buttons are on the right side of phone. The power button too has fingerprint sensor to quickly unlock the device.

There is also a dedicated button on the left side for Google Assistant, beneath the SIM card tray. The bottom houses a microphone, USB-C port, and speaker.

Display

The phone has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ (720 x 1600px) resolution. The panel is also upgraded to a 90Hz refresh rate which makes it much smoother.

It is the first G series device from Nokia to support a high refresh rate display. Similar to other budget device, it also has a large chin and a waterdrop notch.

Hardware

The device is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset which is more powerful chipset in comparision to the Helio G35 chipset which were used in its predecessor.

The Unisoc T606 has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Users can also expand the storage through microSD card.

Camera

Nokia G21 now has advanced three cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has left the ultra-wide-angle camera behind that was present in the Nokia G20.

The phone has an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Also, the phone can easily record 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Nokia G21 comes with a 5050mAh battery that is said to last till 3 days with a single charge. The battery capacity is the same as last year, but the charging speed has improved. It now supports up to 18W fast charging.

The phonw has used stock Android 11 software. Furthermore, the company promises to provide two years of OS upgrades and thirty-six security updates.
